how could i unify my room (color-wise)?
i am moving from my old room to a new one. this new room was used as an attic-type place to store stuff, but now we have a new member in the family 
so i can move here. its about 8 by 20 feet (quite narrow but long). i am choosing a pretty grass green wool carpet, and an off-white wall colour…but should the white be really pure or antique/almost cream-tinged? and what could be the accent colors, etc? i am trying to go for open, comfy, natural, and artistic, with small pops of colour. any ideas? any would help! thanks!
An off white will be more agreeable. Pure white is very hospital looking.
Here are two different ideas. First, using green as the guide. Use different shades of green for most of the other materials in the room, upholstered chair, bedspread.
For the windows use white. For an accent color, choose one, whichever you like best, from yellow, red, orange, pink,
Use the accent color sparingly for pillows, a flower vase, decorative objects, wall hangings, posters, etc.
For furniture, you can use a natural finish or whatever you have. If the pieces are unfinished, you can paint them a soft shade of green.If there is just a single piece, like a desk, you can have a natural wood color, or paint it your accent color.
