My grey 5yo pony has a wet brown patch on his thigh!?

He’s had it about a year and it hasn’t got bigger or smaller. He has not lost any hair, has no extra sensation to that area, and has no lumps. I’ve tried washing and shampooing the patch, brushing and scrubbing it, hoping that it will disappear with the change of seasons, and even changed the brand of his rugs with no success- the wet brown patch on my light grey was-gonna-be-a-show-pony remains as brown and wet as ever. Sometimes I almost can’t notice it as the hairs over the patch are dry, but when I run my hand over that area the hair flattens against the skin, becomes wet and dark again. At first I blamed his rug as the patch only appeared after I put a light synthetic waterproof rug on him during some cold rainy weather we had. The wet patch is only on one side of his body and is there if he is rugged or not.
Someone has said to me that it could be melanoma-any suggestions out there as to what this wet brown patch is???

You might want to look at the skin…. and i would ask a vet or horse specialist

My apartment floors are horrable tiles in the living and bed rooms and I hate it! It’s cold and cracked up and ugly. Anyways, we started looking at area rugs but for the sizes we would need to cover most of the rooms we are only finding ones that cost like $1,000 – and we can’t afford that – and thats at places like kohls and target, places I thought would be cheap.

overstock.com is the best website i have found for buying rugs. i shopped around a ton before deciding to purchase all 5 of my rugs from there. what makes it great, is that there is $3 shipping no matter what you buy (even a huge rug), and you can read customer ratings, and you can see how much the rug originally cost before it came to overstock.com… i am confident that i saved at least $200 on each rug i bought. maybe more.
