I’m looking for an area rug – where can I find one at a decent price and what size should I get?
My living room/dining room is 15×22 and we’ve just installed hard woods. I want an area rug so my dogs won’t be as likely to scratch the floors.
What size should I go with & where online can I find one at a decent price?
If you want one rug for the whole room, then you’ll want something quite large, like 9×12.
However, another idea is to define the space in the room with smaller area rugs. For example, place one rug under the dining table, and another under the living room furniture.

how can i remove stains from dog vomit from my natural dyed wool rug?
My dog vomited a lot on my natural dyed wool area rug, which I have blotted up, etc. How can i safely clean this area, with no damage to wool or coloring in rug? Can i use a home carpet machine, if so what cleaner can I safely use?

Woolite has a rug cleaner in a spray can. When you spray, allow it to set on the spot a bit so it can do its job. If it’s a thick piled rug, you may have to GENTLY work the Woolite into the rug a but with an old soft tooth brush. Then, use a cloth dampened with cold water to wipe up the rest. Then, of course, blot dry.

How to clean a chenille/cotton area rug (6′x9′)? Dry cleaner? Gentle cycle machine wash?
The best way to go is probably to call a pro, but make sure you call either a comapany that does the “Dry Foam Extraction System”, or the bonnet(chem-Dry) version of cleaning. They can do it in your home and at a fraction of the cost of steam cleaners, who will want to take it out of the home and deliver it back to it.. If it is not that bad, you can also clean it yourself as was suggested by others.
